New Bath Installation
From Removal To Final Seal
A new bath isn’t just plumbing. The old bath has to come out, the new one needs to sit level and stable, the panels need to fit cleanly, and the seal around the edge has to be done properly, or you’ll have problems within months.
Our team of plumbers at NJ Harkus handle the full installation, from removing the old bath and disposing of it, fitting the new bath tub, panelling, connecting taps, waste and overflow, and finishing with proper silicone sealing that won’t lift or stain quickly.
Whether you’ve chosen a standard bath, a freestanding centrepiece, a walk-in, or a whirlpool, the approach is the same. We’ll fit it properly and leave the bathroom ready to use.

Bath Tub Repairs
Leaks, Failed Seals & Tired Bath Plumbing
Most bath problems aren’t dramatic, but they’re annoying enough to be worth sorting out. For example, a drip from the waste pipe that you hear when the bath drains, silicone that’s gone black and pulled away from the tiles, or a bath that wobbles slightly when you climb in. Although they may seem like small issues, they can worsen the longer they’re left.
Our team handle leak repairs, resealing, replacement of failed waste connections and overflows, and fault diagnosis on all bathroom plumbing. Therefore, if you have a leaking bath or a failed seal, get in touch with our team, and we will put it right.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our Bath Tub Service FAQs
Do you remove and dispose of the old bath?
Yes. Bath installations include removing the old bath, breaking it down if needed for access, and disposing of it. We’ll leave the bathroom clear and ready for the new one to go in.
Can you fit a freestanding bath in any bathroom?
Most bathrooms can take a freestanding bath, but there are a few practical considerations. The floor needs to support the additional weight (especially with cast-iron baths), the plumbing usually needs to be moved or extended to accommodate the new position, and you’ll need clearance around the bath for cleaning. We’ll assess the bathroom and let you know what’s involved.
My bath is leaking. Can you fix it without replacing the bath?
Almost always yes. Most bath leaks come down to failed silicone sealing around the edges, a worn waste seal, a loose overflow connection, or a problem at the tap base. All are repairable, and we’ll diagnose the cause before recommending any work.
My bath has a crack or chip. Can it be repaired?
Cracks and chips in the bath body itself need specialist smart repair work. It’s a different skill and uses different materials from plumbing work, so we’ll point you towards a smart repair specialist for that side of it. If the damage is bad enough that replacement makes more sense, we can fit a new bath instead.
