During the difficult times caused by COVID-19, our team of plumbers in Cardiff have been working our hardest to ensure all of our customers are kept warm and all of their plumbing problems are solved during this difficult time.
To ensure that all of our customers feel safe with our team inside their home, we wear all of the necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times and abide to the all of the government guidelines. As you can see in the above image, one of our team members (Matty) is getting ready outside before entering a customer’s property in all his PPE.
This is to ensure that he and the customer are both safe and to limit the spread of the virus. At first, it took a while to get used to but now its just the norm and it’s a worthwhile process in order to ensure the customer is happy with us working in their home.
Other New Aspects
One new aspect that’s become very popular since the pandemic is the inclusion of virtual quotations over the phone. For example, the customer can now video call us through FaceTime or WhatsApp and show us the problem or work they require without a callout.
For example, this can involve showing us any error codes present upon a boiler so that we can carry out the boiler repair, how to turn off the water if there is a leak and even new bathroom installation quotations. It’s a great bonus because we don’t need to travel or enter a customer’s home, which results in limiting the chances of spreading the virus.
Our vans have also seen some changes and they are now all kitted out with alcohol-based hand sanitizers and other cleaning products to ensure excellent hygiene standards are maintained. We now also ask that anyone that’s making a booking if they or any other household member is isolating or diagnosed with COVID-19. This is to ensure our engineers are safe whilst they work but also to help limit the spread of the virus.
Moving Forward
By working together with the customers, our team at NJ Harkus can continue to work safely. Since the start of the pandemic, we have adapted and changed the way we work in order to maintain social distancing, excellent hygiene and alternate methods of quoting for work. We will continue to do so moving forward to ensure all of our clients are happy.
